4.6 Function “ Calibration ” of systems and components

4.6.1 Denition

A calibration is used to corroborate a physical quantity associated with a signal or value provided by a

sensor.

Access

1- Perform the initial stages of access (section 4.1.3)

2- Select “ Calibration ”

3- Navigate through the ECU using commands

4- Select the desired ECU

5- Select the required calibration

4.6.2 Steering Angle Sensor (L322, L319, L320, L316*)

Steering angle sensor calibration

This routine will calibrate the steering angle sensor centre position.

Preparations

•Placethevehicleonaatandlevelsurface.

•Ensurethatyourfrontwheelsandsteeringwheelarestraightbeforeproceeding.

Usages

This function is used when:

•Thesteeringanglesensorisreplaced.

•Awheelalignmentisperformedonthevehicle.

•Itmayberequiredifpartsofthesteeringsystemhavebeenreplacedorremoved.

Steering angle sensor renew (L322-02, L322-06)

This routine is used when the steering angle sensor is replaced.

4.6.3 Parking Brake (L322-06, L322-10, L319, L320)

Longitudinal Accelerometer Sensor Calibration

This routine is used when the EPB ECU is replaced.

Preparations

•Placethevehicleonaatandlevelsurface.

•Thevehicleshouldstaystationaryforthedurationoftheroutine.

•TheEPBECUmustbefastenedsecurelyandtheparkingbrakemustbeapplied.

•Makesurethebrakepedalisreleased.
