2.6 Synchronizing the Mobile Application (BT/Pro)

Purpose

RefreshlesintheMobileApplicationIIDControltoachieveconsistencywiththermwareofthenewly

updated tool (section 2.5)orpriortorstusage.

Note: Performing synchronization immediately after updating the tool or before rst usage will prevent

prolong le loading when connected to the vehicle due to a poor internet connection.

Prerequisites

• HavingaccesstoaPCorMacpersonalcomputeroraUSBpowersource.

• Ownacompatiblemobiledevice(section 1.7.5) connected on the internet.

• TheIIDControlAppisinstalledandup-to-date(section 2.4)

• TheIIDToolrmwarewasupdated(section 2.5) or a new mobile device is used with the tool for

thersttime.

Steps

1- If the tool has been updated with the “GAP IIDTool Updater” version 3.9 or less, disconnect the

IIDTool BT/Pro from the USB port. Otherwise, leave it connected and go to step 3.

2- Connect the IIDTool BT/Pro on the USB port.

2- Launch the mobile Application IIDControl in the mobile device.

3- Click on “ Search for tool ”.

4- Selectthetoolin“Bootloader”.Fortherstsynchronization,lltherequiredelds.

5- Waitwhilealldatalesaredownloaded:theword“Loaded”indicatescompletion.

6- Exit the application by pressing “Disconnect”.

7- Repeat previous steps for each mobile devices that may be used with the tool.

8- Unplug the IIDTool from the computer or USB supply.
