CertainECUsprovideextrainformationontheconditionspresentwhenthefaultwasconrmed.These
freeze frames can help identify the factors involved in the establishment of the fault.
Note : Not available on all faults and ECUs. Not implemented by the manufacturer Land Rover on
L322-02.

Press on the button while viewing a fault (Information, if available, will be displayed for 3 seconds).

Decoding status bits (4
th
element of the fault code)

To detect the status (ON or equal to 1) of bits, simply analyze the 4
th
element.
Decoding steps :
1- Locatethefourthelementofthefaultcode.Expressedbya2charactersu󰀩xinparentheses,
in hex (0 to 9 and A to F) is the result of an automatic conversion of the code generated by the
ECU which is in binary format.
2- Convertthesu󰀩xfoundinbinarycodetoobtainabyte(8characters)usingthetablefoundon
next page.
