4.7.2 Suspension
Test Valve
This menu contains routines to allow manual control over valves of the EAS. Used for raising or lowe-
ring one vehicle corner or section at a time in order to diagnose problems with the suspension.
WARNING
Care should be taken when using test valve routines. Make sure
no objects or people are under the vehicle or near any suspen-
sion components. Keep all doors closed. Do not try to raise the
suspension higher than its maximum travel.
Serious damage or injury can occur if a procedure is performed
improperly! GAP Diagnostics assumes no liability for damages
or injuries incurred during or resulting from usage of the IID-
Tool.
If the vehicle is tted with non-standard wheels and/or tires (or
tyres), lowering the vehicle may cause a clearance issue. Tires
may come in contact with wheel arch or other.
Optionsformanualination(+)ordeation(-)are:
• All four corners together
• Front, both sides together
• Rear, both sides together
• Front left corner
• Front right corner
• Rear left corner
• Rear right corner
L322-02.Whenasectionisinated,theappropriatecornervalve(s)isopenalongwiththereservoir
valve. The suspension starts rising from the reservoir and automatically switches to the compressor
after a few seconds.There should be a noticeable decrease in the rate at which the suspension rises
at this point.
All except L322-02.Whenasectionisinated,theappropriatecorner(s)andreservoirvalvesare
open.Thecompressorisalsoactivated.Thespeedatwhichcornersinatewilldecreaseasthereser-
voir pressure equalizes.
All Whenasectionisdeated,theappropriatecornervalve(s)areopenalongwiththeexhaustvalve.
