tools to assist the user in application of lung
recruitment methodologies.
5.1.3 Scope - ventilatory needs
SVS-131_XX
The ventilator can be used for:
1. controlled ventilation
2. supported ventilation, or
3. spontaneous breathing/CPAP
It also allows for combined ventilatory control
or support. Spontaneous breathing efforts are
sensed during controlled ventilation, e.g.
Volume Control. Mandatory ventilation can be
used during supported/spontaneous
breathing, e.g. the enhanced SIMV
functionality.
