6 Operating Conditions
The devices were developed in compliance with the requirements of the following standards
for EMC, climate and environment:
For the use of the safety-related control systems the following common conditions have to be
met:
6.1 Climatic Conditions
The most important tests and limit values for climatic conditions are listed in the following table:
IEC/EN 61131-2 Programmable Controllers, Part 2
Equipment Requirement and Tests
IEC/EN 61000-6-2 EMC
Generic Standards, Part 6-2
Immunity for Industrial Environments
IEC/EN 61000-6-4 EMC
Generic Emmission Standard
Industrial Environment
Protection class Protection class II according to IEC/EN 61131-2
Pollution Pollution degree II
Altitude < 2000 m
Enclosure Standard: IP 20
If requested by the relevant application standards
(e.g. EN 60204, EN 954-1), the device must be installed in a
required enclosure.
