Configuring Advanced Network Settings
This section describes how to configure PPPoE, DDNS, NTP, SNMP, UPnP, Multicast, RTSP,
server port, and HTTP port settings.
Note Instructions for configuring email and remote alarm host settings are found in
Chapter 8, Configuring Alarm Settings.
Configuring PPPoE Settings
The HRGX supports Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) network connections.
To configure PPPoE settings:
1. Go to Menu > Settings > Network > PPPOE.
2. Select the Enable PPPOE check box to enable a PPPoE network connection.
3. In the User Name and Password fields, enter the user name and password assigned by
your Internet service provider for PPPoE access.
4. Click Apply to save your settings, and then restart the DVR for the change to take effect.
The PPPoE connection will initiate automatically.
To view PPPoE connection information, go to Menu > Maintenance > System Info >
Network.
