NO TICE
Before powering o the server, ensure that server data has been saved and
drive services have been stopped. Do not forcibly power o the server when
read and write operations are being performed on drives. Otherwise, bad
sectors may occur, compromising data sources.
Powering
o a server will interrupt all services and programs running on it.
Therefore, before powering o a server, ensure that all services and programs
have been stopped or migrated to other servers.
After the server is powered
o, wait for at least 1 minute and then switch on
the PSUs again.
The
"power-o" mentioned here is an operation performed to change the
server to the standby state.
The methods for powering o the server are as follows:
Power o the server to the standby state.
NO TE
When the power indicator is steady yellow, the server is in the standby state.
Forced power-o may damage user programs or unsaved data. Exercise caution
when performing this operation.
Connect a keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) to the server and shut
down the operating system of the server using the KVM.
When the server is in power-on state, pressing the power button on the
server front panel can power
o the server gracefully.
NO TE
If the server OS is running, shut down the OS according to the onscreen
instructions.

When the server is in power-on state, holding down the power button on
the server front panel for six seconds can power
o the server forcibly.

Log in to the Remote Virtual Console of the server, and shut down the
operating system.

Power
o the server using the iBMC WebUI. For details, see 4.2 Powering
O the Server.
Power o the server using the iBMC CLI.
Log in to the iBMC CLI. For details, see 9.3 Logging In to the iBMC CLI.
Run the ipmcset -d powerstate -v 0 command on the iBMC CLI.
Power o the server completely.
If the server has been powered o and is in the standby state, remove the
power cable to disconnect the external power supply. After that, the server is
powered
o completely.
