2.3 Installation of Slider type

2. Installation
Caution
There is a concern that oil separated from the grease may drip at the opening on the side
of the actuator in the horizontal lateral installation. Also, there is a concern that things
such as a component come out from inside of the equipment may drop in the opening on
the side of the actuator. Apply a protection if needed.
In the horizontal ceiling mount installation, there is a concern that the screw cover may
warp and interfere with a workpiece. Keep a workpiece attached to a position away from
the slider.
When installing the unit vertically, keep the motor on top to the greatest extent possible.
If the motor is installed on the bottom, the grease may separate due to long-term disuse,
causing the base oil to flow into the motor part and leading to controller or motor/encoder
breakdown.
Also, there is a concern that base oil separated from the grease may leak out from the
inside of ELECYLINDER.
Protect the peripheral equipment if base oil adhesion negatively affects them.
If the motor is installed on the top, cap the teaching port.
Clogging with foreign matter may lead to a breakdown.
