Current amperage and heat generation of motor drive DC power supply PSA-200
The current amperage and heat generation on each axis should be figured out referring to
the values shown in the table and by using the formula below.
Calculate the current amperage and heat generation in total for the axes to be connected to
the motor drive DC power supply.
The total values should be the current amperage and heat generation of the motor drive DC
power supply.
Rated power capacity [VA] = Motor power capacity [VA] + Control power capacity [VA]
Peek max. power capacity [VA] = Maximum motor transient current amperage [VA] +
Maximum control transient current amperage [VA]
Heat generation [W] = Motor power supply heating value [W] +
Control power supply heating value [W] + Fixed resistor heat generation [W]

(Note) The control power supply shows the power at the maximum load.
(Note) The value for the motor power supply should differ depending on the load conditions. It
shows the value of the maximum controller performance.
(Note) The current flows in three times higher than the rated current at acceleration. Therefore, the
maximum transient current amperage should be a value three times higher than the current
amperage.
