2. Move the jumper from the enabled position to the
disabled position as shown in the picture.
3. Align and insert the Mwave adapter card into the
adapter card connector from which you removed
it. Insert the screw.
4. Reattach the cables to the Mwave adapter card.

About serial ports
IBM Aptiva PCs have built-in external serial ports
already installed in the computer. The connectors for
these ports are located on the back of your computer.
These ports can be used to connect a serial mouse,
serial printer or other serial devices and to transfer data
between computers.
Serial ports A and B support these addresses and
interrupts.
Conflicts may arise if you add adapter cards with serial
ports or if you change the address settings on your
modem. You can resolve most of these conflicts by
using the Setup Utility to change serial port addresses.

more information.
