5.3.3 Clamps - Replacement
Clamp replacement becomes necessary when the
new bars to be machined have a different profile
from the previously machined bars (e.g. when
changing over from round bars to square or
hexagonal bars). Contact IEMCA after-sales
service for more information.
Proceed as follows to replace the clamps:
• With the bar feeder powered off and the
compressed air supply disconnected, close the
clamps manually.
• Open the upper guide channels.
• Manually lift the lower lever and replace the
clamp. Remove the intermediate gate if
necessary (see "GUIDE CHANNELS, HALF
BUSHES, BAR PUSHER AND COLLET -
REPLACEMENT", CH. 5).
