6.9.2 Machining type change without guide channel change
• Replace the half bushes and the collet (section "GUIDE CHANNELS, HALF BUSHES, BAR
PUSHER AND COLLET - REPLACEMENT", CH. 5).
- remove the bar pusher;
- remove the half bushes;
- assemble the new half bushes;
- assemble a collet suitable for the "new" bar in the bar pusher;
- insert the bar pusher in the guide channels.
• Replace clamps if necessary (section "CLAMPS - REPLACEMENT", CH. 5).
• Adjust the bar guide plates and bar selectors (section "BAR GUIDE PLATES AND BAR
SELECTORS - ADJUSTMENT", CH. 5).
• Introduce the bar in the guide channels and adjust the clamps.
• Check all the machining parameters on the keyboard.
• Prepare the lathe for a new machining cycle.
• Start the automatic working cycle (section "AUTOMATIC CYCLE START", CH. 6).
