Chapter 7 — Transfer Ribbon Mechanism
7.1 Description
The thermal transfer ribbon mechanism is standard in EasyCoder PX4i
and PX6i. The mechanism consists of three main parts:
• Ribbon supply unit (see Chapter 7.2)
• Ribbon rewind unit (see Chapter 7.3)
• Ribbon sensor (see Chapter 7.4)
Adjustment of the ribbon assist roller to remedy wrinkling of the ribbon is
described in Chapter 8.9.
