Quickhitch
Figure 74.
A Front jaw B Front pivot pin
4. Raise the attachment from the ground and roll the Quickhitch in the direction of the arrow until the rear
pivot pin is resting on the Quickhitch latch hook.
5. Remove the lynch pin and the locking pin.
6. Insert the tommy bar into the latch recess and apply a downward pressure to rotate the latch until the pivot
pin engages with the jaw.
7. If the force required to open the latch is too great, refit the locking pin and lynch pin and reposition the
attachment to reduce the force required to open the latch with the tommy bar. Repeat steps 5 and 6 once
repositioned.
CAUTION! It is necessary to use the tommy bar to open the latch on the Quickhitch; attempts to engage
the attachment without using the tommy bar may cause damage to the attachments, carrier machine or
Quickhitch, and/or result in serious injury. Always follow the correct procedure.
8. Slowly release the pressure on the tommy bar to allow the latch to return to a closed position gripping the
rear pin of the attachment.
9. Remove the tommy bar and refit the locking pin. Secure the locking pin in place with lynch pin.
WARNING! Before you operate the machine make sure that the rear pin of the attachment is fully engaged
within the latch and that the locking pin and lynch pin are correctly installed. Incorrect installation of an
attachment could result in death or serious injury.
10. Prior to commencing work, roll the rear of the bucket against the ground in order to confirm that the bucket
pins are secured within the Quickhitch.
