Cabinet Requirements for an EX4600 Switch
You can mount the EX4600 switch in a cabinet that contains a four-post 19-in. rack as dened in
Cabinets, Racks, Panels, and Associated Equipment (document number EIA-310-D) published by the
Electronics Industry Associaon.
Cabinet requirements consist of:
• Cabinet size and clearance
• Cabinet airow requirements
Table 22 on page 54 provides the cabinet requirements and specicaons for the EX4600 switch.

clearance
The minimum cabinet size for accommodang a EX4600 switch is 36 in. (91.4 cm)
deep. Large cabinets improve airow and reduce the chance of overheang.
