Symbols and terms used in this manual:
This indicates a warning. It provides safety precauon informaon needed to avoid
injury while operang the refractometer system.
This indicates that something is important for the operaon of the refractometer sys-
tem.
Note. Notes contain addional informaon and hints.
Warning! The process medium may be hot or otherwise hazardous.
Precauons when removing the sensor from the process line:
• Make posively sure that the process line is not under pressure. Open a vent valve to the
atmosphere.
• For a prism wash system, close a hand valve for the wash medium and disable the wash
valve.
• Loosen the clamp cauously, be prepared to ghten again.
• Be out of the way of any possible splash and ensure the possibility of escape.
• Use shields and protecve clothing adequate for the process medium, do not rely on avoid-
ance of contact with the process medium.
• Aer removal of the sensor, it may be necessary to mount a blind cover for security reasons.
It is the user’s responsibility to follow manufacturer’s safety and operang instrucons. The
client’s organizaon has the responsibility to develop and maintain occupaonal safety and
create a safety culture where individuals are expected to follow safety instrucons at all mes.
Any negligence towards safety instrucons or failure to comply with safe pracces should not
be tolerated. It is the manufacturer’s responsibility to produce goods that are safe to use when
instrucons are followed.
Warranty
All K-Patents products are guaranteed to be free of material or workmanship defects. K-Patents
provides a limited warranty that covers the repair or replacement, without charge, of any de-
fected product or part that occurs within two (2) years from the date of delivery. The repair
can only be done by nearest authorized K-Patents repair facility.
K-Patents is not responsible for material selecon of process weed parts.
Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of the product over me, or any products that
are handled, installed or used against manufacturer’s guidance.
Please note that prior to shipping any products or items to K-Patents, a Request for Return
Materials Authorizaon (RMA) must be lled in and submied to K-Patents Order Handling
department. The RMA form is available at hp://www.kpatents.com/ in the Support secon.
