LL06 Encoder Pole Position Learn
Learns the motor pole position (encoder position) and encoder A/B channel phasing with
movement, for synchronous motors. Method requires relatively frictionless load (un-roped
sheave or balanced car). Refer to LE06 Encoder 1 Pole Position.

USER: Run empty car UP on

verify encoder

STATUS: Motor current too large,
swapping encoder phases, run the
car UP again
USER: Did the elevator travel UP?
STATUS: Reversing motor
direction, run the car UP again
FAILURE: Encoder error detected,
verify encoder

speed not reached, increase
speed, run the car UP again
