On should not be used to directly control the engagement of
the brake. In addition, the STO input should remain on for at
least the sum of LT10, LT12 and LT13 to prevent
immediately shutting off the output current during the ramp
down period which may cause a motor disturbance.
This function can only be selected for the brake output in
parameter LO20!
Output is used to directly control the release and
engagement of the brake.
The output is switched ON when all the following conditions
are valid:
• SBC safety input is active;
• motor phase current check (LX08; initiated by the drive
enable and a direction input) has passed;
• motor is magnetized;
• LT01 Brake Release Delay has expired;
• output voltage modulation has begun.
The output is switched OFF when any of the following
conditions are valid:
• After the speed command has ramped down to zero and
the direction input has been turned off and the LT10
Brake Drop Delay time has elapsed;
• immediately if the STO input is switched off at any time;
• immediately if the SBC input is switched off at any time;
• immediately any time or a drive fault occurs.
This function can only be selected for the brake output in
parameter LO20!
