1. Measure
the
resistance
across the slip rings with
the resistance range of circuit tester.
NOTE
• If electricity is
out of service specification,
replace the rotor.

• Emery paper (#500 to 600)

1. Check the slip ring for dirt or scratch.
NOTE
• If dirt is
detected, clean the slip ring using a
cloth soaked in alcohol.
• If there is slight score, correct with an emery
paper (#500 to 600).
2. Measure the O.D. of the slip ring with a vernier
calipers.
NOTE
• If the measurement
is less than the service
limit, replace the rotor assembly.
