(3) Detaching and refitting the fuser heater
Follow the procedure below to replace the fuser heater.
Procedure
1. Remove the fuser unit (see page 1-5-40).
2. Remove two positive terminals of fuser
heater wires from the fuser unit.
Caution
Remove the positive terminals while press-
ing their protrusions.
3. Remove two fuser heater wires from ribs of
the fuser unit.
Caution
Make sure that the fuser heater wires are
not removed from the positive terminals.

4. Separate the right and left fuser unit (see
page 1-5-42).
5. Pull out the fuser heater wire from the rear
side of the right fuser unit and stretch it
straight.
