1.Makesurethatthepower-controlbuttonisworkingcorrectly:
a.Disconnecttheserverpowercords.
b.Reconnectthepowercords.
c.(Trainedtechnicianonly)Reseattheoperatorinformationpanelcable,and
thenrepeatsteps1aand1b.
(Trainedtechnicianonly)Iftheserverstarts,reseattheoperatorinformation
panel.Iftheproblemremains,replacetheoperatorinformationpanel.
Iftheserverdoesnotstart,bypassthepower-controlbuttonbyusingthe
forcepower-onjumper(see“System-boardswitchesandjumpers”on
page22
).Iftheserverstarts,reseattheoperatorinformationpanel.Ifthe
problemremains,replacetheoperatorinformationpanel.
2.Makesurethattheresetbuttonisworkingcorrectly:
Disconnecttheserverpowercord.
Reconnectthepowercord.
3.Makesurethat:
a.Thepowercordsarecorrectlyconnectedtotheserverandtoaworking
electricaloutlet.
b.Thetypeofmemorythatisinstallediscorrect.
c.TheDIMMisfullyseated.
d.TheLEDsonthepowersupplydonotindicateaproblem.
e.(Trainedtechnicianonly)Themicroprocessorsareinstalledinthecorrect
sequence.
4.Reseatthefollowingcomponents:
a.DIMMs
b.(Trainedtechnicianonly)Power-supplycablestoallinternalcomponents

5.Replacethefollowingcomponentsoneatatime,intheordershown,restarting
