UsethisinformationtoreplacethePCIriser-cardassembly.
Readthesafetyinformationin“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”onpage33.
Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
ToreplacethePCIriser-cardassembly,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.InstalltheadaptersinthePCIriser-cardassembly(see“ReplacingaServeRAIDadapter”on
page143)
Step2.ReconnectanyadaptercablesthatyoudisconnectedwhenyouremovedthePCIriser-card
assembly.
Step3.CarefullyalignthePCIriser-cardassemblywiththeguidesontherearoftheserverandwiththe
PCIriser-cardconnectoronthesystemboard;then,placeyourthumbsonlocationsmarkedbythe
bluetabsandpressdownonthePCIriser-cardassembly.Makesurethattheriser-cardassembly
isfullyseatedintheconnectoronthesystemboard.
