thepowercordsandallexternalcables,andturnontheserverandperipheraldevices.

Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toremovethepowerpaddlecard,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Pullthepowersuppliesoutoftherearoftheserver,justenoughtodisengagethemfromtheserver.
Step2.Removethecover(see“Removingthecover”onpage131).
Step3.Removetheairbaffleifinstalled(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage135).
Step4.Removethe240VAsafetycover(see“Removingthe240VAsafetycover”onpage185).
Step5.Loosenthecablesfromthecabletie.
Step6.Disconnectthepowercablesfromthepowerconnectorsonthesystemboard.
