Step1.Positionthecoverontopoftheserversothatapproximately13mm(0.5inch)extendsfromtherear.
Step2.Slidethecovertowardthefrontoftheserver.

Step3.Makesurethatthecovercorrectlyengagesalltheinsettabsontheserver.
Step4.Installtheserverintotherackenclosureandtightenthetwofrontthumbscrewstosecurethe
serverintherack.
Step5.Reconnecttheexternalcablesandpowercords.
Ifyouhavereplacedaservercomponentorinstalledanoptionaldeviceintheserver,youneedtoreconnect
thepowercordsandallexternalcables,andturnontheserverandperipheraldevices.
Removingthebezel
Usethisinformationtoremovethebezel.
Readthesafetyinformationin“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”onpage33.
Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toremovethebezel,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Iftheserverhasbeeninstalledinarack,pressthetworeleaselatchesonthefrontoftheserver
andremovetheserveroutoftherackenclosure.
Attention:Twoormorepeoplearerequiredtoremovetheserverfromarackcabinet.
Step2.Turnofftheserverandallperipheraldevices,anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternal
cables.
Step3.Removetheservertopcover(see“Removingthecover”onpage131).
Step4.Frominsidetheserver,pressthebezelreleaselatchtowardtheleftsideoftheserver.
Step5.Pivotthebezelforwardandpullitawayfromtheserver.
