Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
ToreplaceanIBMServeRAIDadapter,completethefollowingsteps.

Step2.RemovethePCIriser-cardassembly(see“RemovingthePCIriser-cardassembly”onpage136).
Step3.Removetheexpansion-slotcoverontheslotthatyouintendtouseandsaveforfutureuse.
Attention:PCIexpansion-slotcoversmustbeinstalledonallvacantslots.Thismaintainsthe
electronicemissionsstandardsoftheserverandensuresproperventilationofservercomponents.
