Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toreplacetheairbaffle,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Removethecover(see“Removingthecover”onpage35).
Step2.Aligntheairbafflepinswiththebafflepinholesontheserverchassisandfancageassembly;then,
lowertheairbaffleintotheserver.Presstheairbaffledownuntilitissecurelyseated.

Ifyouhavereplacedaservercomponentorinstalledanoptionaldeviceintheserver,youneedtoreconnect
thepowercordsandallexternalcables,andturnontheserverandperipheraldevices.
Attention:Forpropercoolingandairflow,replacetheairbafflebeforeturningontheserver.Operatingthe
serverwithanairbaffleremovedmightdamageservercomponents.
Replacingthecover
Usethisinformationtoreplacethecover.
Makesurethatallcables,adapters,andotherservercomponentsareinstalledandseatedcorrectlyand
thatyouhavenotleftloosetoolsorpartsinsidetheserver.Also,makesurethatallinternalcablesare
correctlyrouted.
Important:Beforeyouslidethecoverforward,makesurethatallthetabsonthefront,rear,andsideof
thecoverengagethechassiscorrectly.Ifallthetabsdonotengagethechassiscorrectly,itwillbevery
difficulttoremovethecoverlater.
