Installingasimple-swapharddiskdrive
Toinstallasimple-swapharddiskdrive,completethefollowingsteps.
Attention:Simple-swapharddiskdrivesarenothot-swappable.Disconnectallpowerfromtheserver
beforeyouremoveorinstallasimple-swapharddiskdrive.
1.Readthesafetyinformationin“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”onpage33.
2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectallexternalcablesandpowercords.
3.Makesurethattheservertopcoverisinplaceandfullyclosed.
4.Removethefillerpanelfromthebay.
5.Installtheharddiskdrive:
•Toinstalla3.5-inchsimple-swapharddiskdrive,pulltheloopsofthedrivetraytowardeachother,
andslidethedriveintotheserveruntilthedriveconnectstothebackplate.Releasetheloopsofthe
drivetray.
