Step3.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheDIMMtoanyunpaintedmetalsurfaceonthe
outsideoftheserver.Then,removetheDIMMfromthepackage.
Step4.TurntheDIMMsothatthealignmentslotaligncorrectlywiththealignmenttab.
Step5.InserttheDIMMintotheconnectorbyaligningtheedgesoftheDIMMwiththeslotsattheendsof
theDIMMconnector.
Step6.FirmlypresstheDIMMstraightdownintotheconnectorbyapplyingpressureonbothendsofthe
DIMMsimultaneously.TheretainingclipssnapintothelockedpositionwhentheDIMMisfirmly
seatedintheconnector.
Note:IfthereisagapbetweentheDIMMandtheretainingclips,theDIMMhasnotbeencorrectly
inserted;opentheretainingclips,removetheDIMM,andthenreinsertit.

Installinganadapter
