Attention:Handlethemicroprocessorcarefully.Droppingthemicroprocessorduringremovalcan
damagethecontacts.Also,contaminantsonthemicroprocessorcontacts,suchasoilfromyour
skin,cancauseconnectionfailuresbetweenthecontactsandthesocket.

Step7.Removethemicroprocessor:
a.Carefullyliftthemicroprocessorstraightupandoutofthesocket,withouttouchingthe
microprocessorcontacts.
b.Placethemicroprocessoronastatic-protectivesurface.
Attention:Thepinsonthesocketsarefragile.Anydamagetothepinsmightrequirereplacingthe
systemboard.
Ifyouareinstructedtoreturntheservercomponentoroptionaldevice,followallpackaginginstructions,
anduseanypackagingmaterialsforshippingthataresuppliedtoyou.
