Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toremovetheoperatorinformationpanelassembly,completethefollowingsteps.

Step1.Removetheservercover(see“Removingthecover”onpage131).
Step2.Disconnectthesignalcablefromtheoperatorinformationpanelboard.
Step3.RemovethescrewsthatsecuretheoperatorinformationpanelassemblytotheDVDdrivehousing.
Step4.Lifttheoperatorinformationpanelassemblyoutoftheserver.
Ifyouareinstructedtoreturntheservercomponentoroptionaldevice,followallpackaginginstructions,
anduseanypackagingmaterialsforshippingthataresuppliedtoyou.
Replacingtheoperatorinformationpanelassembly
Usethisinformationtoreplacetheoperatorinformationpanelassembly.
Readthesafetyinformationin“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”onpage33.
Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toinstalltheoperatorinformationpanelassembly,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.GuidetheoperatorinformationpanelassemblyintopositionontopoftheDVDdrivehousing.
MakesurethattheLEDsandtheUSBconnectorsarealignedwiththeopeningsinthebezeland
thatthescrewholesintheoperatorinformationpanelalignwiththescrewholesinthetopof
theDVDbayhousing.
Step2.Usethescrewsthatyouremovedin“Removingtheoperatorinformationpanelassembly”onpage
170tosecuretheoperatorinformationpanelassemblyontheDVDbayhousing.
Step3.Connectthesignalcabletotheoperatorinformationpanelboard.
Step4.Installtheservertopcover(see“Replacingthecover”onpage132).
