Disposeofthebatteryasrequiredbylocalordinancesorregulations.

Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toreplacethebattery,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Followanyspecialhandlingandinstallationinstructionsthatcomewiththereplacementbattery.
Step2.Removethecover(see“Removingthecover”onpage131).
Step3.Ifnecessary,lifttheairbaffleoutoftheway(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage135).
Step4.Insertthenewbattery:
a.Positionthebatterysothatthepositive(+)symbolisfacingtowardsthepowersupply.
b.Tiltthebatterysothatyoucaninsertitintothesocketonthesideoppositethebatteryclip.
c.Pressthebatterydownintothesocketuntilitsnapsintoplace.
