Step 1. Make sure the following components are installed in the chassis:
• SXM GPU board, see “Install the SXM GPU board” on page 305.
• Lenovo Neptune
TM
liquid-to-air (L2A) hybrid cooling module, see “Install the Lenovo Neptune
(TM) liquid-to-air (L2A) hybrid cooling module” on page 289.
Step 2. Adjust the SXM GPU board.
a.
Pull out the SXM GPU board latch outward until it stops.
b.
Rotate down the clips and handle so that they are away from the retimer assembly guide
pins.

Step 3. Align the retimer assembly with the four guide pins; then, attach the retimer assembly to the
chassis, and slide it down to secure it in place.
Attention: Keep the SXM GPU board clips and handle away from the retimer assembly to prevent
damages to the retimer assembly.
