Always use specific personal safety devices for each
serviceoperation.
Fireriskscanbeminimizedbyfrequentremovalofaccu-
mulatedcropmaterial,trashordebrisfromthemachine.
Removeallcropmaterial,trashordebrisatthestartof
eachworkingday.Takeextracaretomakesuretheengine
areaandexhaustsystemareclean.
Itisyourresponsibilitytoremoveand/orcleanyourma-
chineonaregularbasis.
Fire riskcanalso beminimizedbyprompt repairingof
leaksandcleaningupfuelandoilspills.
Engine fuel is flammable and can cause a fire or an
explosion.DONOTfillthefueltankorservicethefuel
system near an naked flame, welding, burning cigars,
cigarettesetc.
Sparksorflamescancausethehydrogengasinabattery
toexplode.Topreventanexplosion,dothefollowing:
- Whendisconnectingthebatterycables,disconnect
thenegative(-)cablefirst.Whenconnectingthebat-
terycables,connectthenegative(-)cablelast.
- DONOTconnectjumpercablestostarttheengine.
The engine can be started ONLY by the ignition
proceduredescribedinthismanual.
- DO NOT short circuit the battery posts with metal
items.
- DONOTsolderorsmokenearthebattery.
Checktheelectricalsystemforloose,tamperedwithor
poorlyinsulatedconnections.Repairorreplacetheloose
ordamagedparts.
