Warning / Error Messages
If some trouble occurs, the buzzer sounds and the display shows a corresponding error message.
Take an appropriate remedy for the displayed error.

The front cover or the maintenance
cover is opened.
• Check the front cover and maintenance
covers.
• If the same error message appears again
even after closing all the covers, contact
your local distributor to call for service.
The media has not been detected. • Perform media detection.
The motor is OFF after the cover was
opened etc.
• Close the front cover and maintenance
covers (right and left).
An ink error occurred.
• Check the ink bottle for the supply path
corresponding to the indicated color.
Data was received. • Perform data clear. ( P.2-39)
Message Cause Solution
Ink errors (unusable ink) occur in multi-
ple ink bottles.
Ink supply (print, cleaning, etc.) cannot
be performed.
• Press the key to check the ink
bottle generating the warning.
Replace them with usable ink bottles.
The waste ink tank is full.
• Check the waste ink tank.
The waste ink tank is nearly full.
The waste ink tank is not set. • Set the waste ink tank.
Time to replace the wiper in the capping
station with a new one has come.
(The wiping count has reached the
specified value.)
• Press the key and replace the
wiper with a new one. ( P.4-31)
The media is not set.
The sensor has been broken.
• Set the media. ( P.2-7) If the same
error message appears again, contact
your local distributor to call for service.
The data has been received.
• Press the key to perform print-
ing. Or, perform data clear.
