6 Maintenance and
inspection
In order to obtain the highest performance from the HM-200A and
use it safely for an extended period of time, perform maintenance
and inspection according to this chapter.
6.1 Safekeeping of the product
Even if this unit is not planed to be used for a long time or also as daily safekeeping, be
aware of the following operations.
1. Manual main unit
CAUTION
1. Keep the hardness testing machine rust free.
2. Unplug the machine and put a cover on it to prevent dust.
2. Test block
CAUTION
1. Keep the test piece surface clean.
Do not touch the surface directly by hand.
2. For dirt removal, use alcohol, benzine, etc. when wiping the surface of a test piece.
3. Store the test piece in the desiccator or the like so as to prevent rust. Do not use oil o
powder anticorrosives, otherwise the unit becomes dirty easily.
