3.2 Parts installation and connection
3.2.1 Mounting the Manual XY stage
The Manual XY stage will be installed by Mitutoyo at the delivery. However, when it is
required to be removed or re-mounted, read the following instruction carefully before
operation.
CAUTION
1. Before operation, lower enough both the elevating shaft and extension shaft.
2. Do not interfere with the indenter or lens when mounting or removing the Manual
Stage.
Tool to be prepared: Manual XY stage, Allen key (2.5mm), Precision screwdriver
1. For information on how to install batteries, refer to the Digimatic Operation Manual,
provided in the accessory box.
2. Rotate the up/down handle forward to lower the elevating shaft.
3. Loosen the hex socket set screw (2 pcs.) provided on the elevating shaft using the
provided Allen key.
