5. Rotate left measuring knob.
6. Rotate right measuring knob.
7. Press the
diagonal length of
indentation input switch.
4. Rotate the Measuring microscope 90° counterclockwise.
5. Operate the left measuring knob to align the
measuring line at the bottom end of the
indentation.
6. Operate the right measuring knob to align the
measuring line at the top end of the
indentation.
At this moment, the display D2 and hardness value display change.
7. Press the diagonal length of indentation input switch once.
8. The hardness value display is fixed and the hardness is determined.
9. The Vickers hardness value is displayed.
10. The OK/NG judgment setting allows OK/±NG to be displayed.
11. The settings of the curved surface compensation and read compensation allow a
compensated hardness value to be displayed.
12. The conversion setting allows a converted value to be displayed.
4.1.4.3 Indentation measurement when testing Knoop hardness
1. Operate the left measuring knob to align the measuring line at the left end of the indentation.
2. Operate the right measuring knob to align the measuring line at the right end of the
indentation.
At this moment, the display of hardness value "D1" changes.
