6.3.4 Hardness test accuracy confirmation
Verify the accuracy of this product after transferring this product or replacing indenters.
Periodic accuracy verification is recommended depending on the frequency of using this
product.
1) Prepare the hardness test piece supplied with this product.
2) Perform hardness test in accordance with the scale displayed on the hardness test
piece.
NOTE
1. Use only the top surface of the test piece. If the top surface of the test piece is full of
indentations and no space is available for an appropriate indentation, replace the test
piece with new one.
2. Never use the opposite side of the test piece. Proper test results cannot be obtained.
3. Proper results cannot be obtained from the first test right after transferring this product or
installing the indenter.
4. Use the outer region of the supplied test piece for a try.
