Table 2-1 Floor vibration/frequency, and acoustic vibration/frequency
Influences of floor vibrations upon test forces
Frequency of floor vibrations
Use conditions
Test force range: 0.4903 to 19.61 mN
Insulating material: Rubber insulator.
The accuracy is guaranteed as shown
below in the shaded portion of the graph:
0.4903mN ±40%
0.9807mN ±30%
1.961mN ±20%
2.942mN ±10%
4.903mN ±5%
9.807mN ±1.5%
19.61mN ±1.5%

2.1.4 Wind, Sound
Avoid a direct air flow from the air conditioner toward the hardness testing machine.
Avoid a place where internal air circulation is extreme.
Try not to select a place closer to the doorway. (Subject to wind, vibration)
Avoid installing the hardness testing machine closer to the instrument which
generates sound. (Acoustic vibration: Phones, speakers)
The speeches from the phones or speakers may adversely affect the test results.
