2.1.5 Dust
This hardness testing machine consists of high-precision components such as the guide
ways of each unit, linear scale units, and optical units that are apt to be easily damaged by
dust and dirt. So, use this system in a place where it is as free from dust as possible.
2.1.6 Power supply
An outlet socket of AC100-240V, 50/60Hz is required for the power supply to the hardness
testing main unit.
The supplied power should have a sufficient margin over the system consumption rate.

※ In the event of a short-term power interruption or a voltage reduction below 90V,
the system may shut down or result in any of the errors occurring as described in

Note: The input power source differs depending on the printer model to be used. For exact
specifications, refer to each operation manual of the printer and such to be used.
For reference:
In case the power fluctuation does not meet the specified power voltage, a voltage
stabilizer is required. Also, if there is a possibility of electrical outage, an uninterruptible
power supply system may be required.
