4.1.4 Indentation measurement with Measuring microscope
4.1.4.1 Zero-reset of Measuring microscope
CAUTION
When focusing, carefully operate the up/down handle to prevent the specimen from
colliding with the Objective lens.
1. Rotate the Turret to face the Objective lens (A: high-magnification lens) to the front side.
2. Move the up/down handle to allow the Objective lens A to obtain focus.
3. Rotate the measuring knob on the right side of the Measuring microscope to join the inner
surfaces of the 2 measuring lines until the moment when light in the gap between the 2
measuring lines just disappears. (The measuring knob should be rotated so that the 2
measuring lines can approach each other.)

4. Press the zero-reset button on the touch panel.
(D1 and D2 on the touch panel display 0.00, and the position is set to zero.)
