9. Execute indentation again, and check the alignment of the indent looking through the
measuring microscope. If the indent is tilted, repeat the procedures from 6. to 8. to
make adjustment.
6.3.2 Replacing the objective lens
After replacing the objective lens, settings and adjustment of the manual main unit are
required. Contact your dealer or the nearest Mitutoyo sales office/service center.
6.3.3 Adjusting the center position of the objective lens
CAUTION
1. Make sure to use the supplied hex-tip screwdriver.
2. During adjustment, do not operate the touch panel. Also, make sure not to touch the
operating parts unintentionally.
Tools to be prepared: Hex-tip screwdriver (standard accessory, 1.5mm), test piece to be
used for test indentation)
1. Execute indentation.
2. Rotate the turret to position the objective lens in the front.
3. Align the left line of the measuring knob with the fixation line so that the cross line
comes to the center of the view. (When the measuring microscope is rotated by 90°,
the point can be the center of the view field as long as the cross line is not
decentered.)
