5.6.2 Testing time setting
Set test force; the load time, the duration time of test force and the unload time for the specimen.
· Load time: Duration since the indenter comes in contact with the specimen until the specified
test force can be achieved
1 to 99 sec., Default: 4
· Duration time of test force: Duration to retain the test force
0 to 999 sec., Default: 10
· Unload time: Duration since the duration time of test force expires until the indenter is
detached from the surface of the test piece.
1 to 99 sec., Default: 4
Variable per second for all these settings.
JIS Z2244 standard value
Load time 2 to 8 s (For the test cases that the load exceeds 9.807N)
Duration time of test force 10 to 15 s
The speed before the indenter comes in contact with the specimen surface is called contact
velocity.
Refer to the settings described in 5.6.4 "Contact velocity setting".
The approaching speed is different from what is called loading velocity in JIS Z2244.
