5. Rotate the Measuring microscope 90° counterclockwise.
6. Operate the left measuring knob to align the measuring line at the bottom end of the
indentation.
7. Operate the right measuring knob to align the measuring line at the top end of the
indentation.
At this moment, the display of converted value "a2" changes.
8. Press the diagonal length of indentation input switch once.
The converted value is fixed, and then the Vickers hardness value is displayed.
9. Next, perform the measurement of the cracking length.
10. Rotate the Measuring microscope 90 degrees clockwise.
11. Operate the left measuring knob to align the measuring line at the left end of the crack.
12. Operate the right measuring knob to align the measuring line at the right end of the crack.

14. Press the diagonal length of indentation input switch once.
15. The "c1" display is fixed.
