1. The hardness value of the standard indentation described in the certificate of inspection for
test block shall be the "standard hardness value".
2. Determine the standard indentation of the supplied test piece 700HV0.3. (Refer to the
following figure.)
3. Measure the standard indentation by the ocular to obtain the hardness value.
4. Calculate the reading correction value from the basic hardness value and the actual reading.
Reading correction value = (Basic hardness value) / (Actual hardness value) x 100
5. Press the [CORRECT] button.
