5.3 Cleaning menu
Performs head cleaning.
Head cleaning can be operated when the printer is Normal.
Refer to the following for operation procedures.
6.2.3 Head cleaning
• If the head height is set to High for VJ-1624WX, "Change Head Gap Low" is displayed on
Operation panel.
Set the head height to Low.
4.2.5.3 When setting the head height to Low
• For VJ-1624X, auto cleaning can be performed regardless of the head height.
Setup item Description
Short Discharges smaller amount of ink compared to "Normal".
• [Enter] key:
"Cleaning **%" is displayed on Operation panel and head cleaning starts.
Progress on the Head cleaning is displayed in % on Operation panel.
Normal Select this mode normally.
• [Enter] key:
"Cleaning **%" is displayed on Operation panel and head cleaning starts.
Progress on the Head cleaning is displayed in % on Operation panel.
Long Discharges larger amount of ink compare to "Normal".
Used when Print head does not improve by normal head cleaning.
• [Enter] key:
"Cleaning **%" is displayed on Operation panel and head cleaning starts.
Progress on the Head cleaning is displayed in % on Operation panel.
Little Charge Refills a small amount of ink.
Charge a small amount of ink when printing is not stable after ink replenishment.
3.3 Filling ink
• [Enter] key:
"Ink Refill **%" is displayed on Operation panel and ink replenishment starts.
Progress on the ink replenishment is displayed in % on Operation panel.
Initial ink charge Performs the intial ink charge.
Even when using the printer whose ink has already been filled, when you use High-capacity
ink pack adapter for the first time, perform this initial ink charge.
3.3.5 When using High-capacity ink pack adapter for the first time on the
printer whose ink is filled.
• [Enter] key:
"Ink Refill **%" is displayed on Operation panel and ink replenishment starts.
Progress on the ink replenishment is displayed in % on Operation panel.
— • [Cancel] key: shifts to the previous menu.
