Barge In
Barge In is available in the Networking feature with the following options:
Barge into a conversation between an extension’s own system and a networked system
Barge into a conversation between callers in a networked system
Barge into a call between two networked systems
Barge In can be used in either Monitor Mode (Silent Monitor) or Speech Mode (determined in
Program 20-13-10).
Barge In cannot barge into calls across the network in the following instances:
Conference calls
Off hook signaling a telephone in the other system
Barge into an extension’s call without Þrst calling the busy extension in the other system
Conditions
To ensure proper operation, use system software 4.09 or higher.
Operation
To Barge In after calling a busy extension:
The call must be set up for about 10 seconds before you can Barge In.
Listen for busy/ring or busy tone.
1. Call busy extension.
2. Press Barge In key (PGM 15-07 or SC 851: 34).
OR
Dial the Barge In service code, 810.
Users may hear a Barge-In tone, depending on the setting in Program 23-13-17.
