Use the Modem Router as a DSL Modem Only
By default, the modem router functions as both a modem and a router. You can change the operation mode to a
mode in which the modem router functions as a DSL modem only with the routing, firewall, WiFi, and traffic meter
features disabled.
A typical use of such a mode is when the modem router is used only for DSL connectivity behind a router, firewall,
or security device manager that provides routing, firewall, WiFi, and traffic meter features.
To configure the modem router as a DSL modem only:
1. Launch a web browser from a computer or WiFi device that is connected to the network.
2. Enter http://www.routerlogin.net.
A login window opens.
3. Enter the modem router user name and password.
The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
The BASIC Home page displays.
4. Select ADVANCED > Advanced Setup > Device Mode.
The Device Mode page displays.
