4. Remove the screw

securing the intake tube to the
air box.
5. Disconnect the two connectors

from the ECU.
6. Remove the fasteners
t
securing the ECU to the
intake plenum. Remove the ECU
y
from the vehicle.
ECU INSTALLATION
NOTICE
If installing a new service ECU, Digital Wrench must be
used after completing the ECU installation process.
Digital Wrench will transfer the original ECU’s data files
to the new ECU using the ECU replacement procedure.
1. Reinstall the screws securing the ECU to the intake
plenum. Torque screws to specification.
TORQUE
ECU Mounting Screws:
5 ft-lbs (7 Nm)
2. Verify the ECU wire harness connectors are clean
and dry. Reconnect the two ECU connectors. Verify
an audible “click” is heard as each connector is
seated into the ECU.
3. Reinstall the intake tube. Torque mounting screw to
specification.. Verify the tube fits into the plenum
tube.
TORQUE
Intake Tube Air Box Fastener:
36 in-lbs (4 Nm)
4. Reinstall the oil tank. Torque oil tank fastener to
specification.
TORQUE
Oil Tank Clutch Guard Fastener:
7 ft-lbs (9 Nm)
5. Reconnect Digital Wrench to the vehicle and finish
the ECU replacement procedure.
